Typically I like to keep the books myself, but I find myself in a bit of a pickle.  I am no longer in the beloved B.Hums program and thus the only general and practical use I can find for the books will be many years from now when I can afford to purchase them again.  So, without further delay I will rip the exact text from my facebook and ask that interested parties email (or msn me) at willsamuel@hotmail.com.  I can bring them to campus, but I rather you pick them up at my home near Algonquin College because they are more than two cubits in length and weigh a lot.

Are you a new Humanities student? Do you want to save money on a great deal? Then you best message me and fast!!!

All HUMS Year 1 books are for sale! This is a batch sale for $200 (and must be bought by the end of July)! You can pick them up at my home or beg me to lug them to campus (it’s a lot of weight btw).

Books include CLCV2000, HUMS1000 and HUMS1005 courses from 06/07 (in no particular order):

The Odyssey of Homer - Lattimore
Metamorphoses – Ovid
The Library of Greek Mythology – Apollodorus
Hindu Myths
Theogony . Works and Days – Hesoid
Myths from Mesopotamia
The Bhagavad-Gita – Stoller Miller
The Upanisads
Tao Te Ching – Lao Tzu
Love Song of the Dark Lord – Miller
Symposium – Plato
Greek Tragedies 1 – Grene & Lattimore
The Iliad of Homer – Lattimore
The Aeneid – Virgil
The Analects – Confucius * Some damage to front cover, but otherwise fine
The New Oxford Annotated Bible
Insude the Cult - Whitehouse

My total cost for the year on the books was far above the $200 asking price, and I bought a couple of “used” books in the list (but they are in great condition!). If interested, please immediately message me as I expect these to go very fast.

Cheers, and good luck in your program choice :D

ps.  Also if you know of someone taking PSCI2300 in the fall as a 2nd year elective I have those too (and some of them are useful for HUMS 3rd and 4th year I am told, but I am only selling them as a lot item):

That's right, I am selling all of my PSCI2300 text from the 06/07 year! Get them now, they'll go fast.

Titles include

On the Advantage and Disadvantage of History for Life - Nietzsche
The Prince - Machiavelli
The Communist Manifesto - Marx and Engels
Reason in History - Hegel
Leviathan - Hobbes
Nicomachean Ethics - Aristotle
The Politics - Aristotle
The Republic of Plato - Bloom
Four Texts on Socrates - Plato & Aristophanes

All books are in like new condition... Only a couple of marks on the covers, spines are well intact (as though I didn't read them *whistles*) with only a few highlighted passages in some of the later books.

Message ASAP, I can bring these books to campus or you can pick them up from my home near Algonquin College area.
